Posted by: bed wetting I think it is quite easy to fight with window. It was supposed to be so easy, wasn't it? Well, usually it is -- but sometimes, for some reason, Windows just doesn't want to play ball. Here's a quick guide to what to do when you've plugged in all your wireless equipment but it's not connecting yet. Insert the CD. Before inserting the CDs, you should care enough. CD is not easy to plug in your wireless card, if you are using very first time. That is why you need to put in the CD, and will help you to installs the drivers. If you are experienced, it will be easy for you, and then you can update your drivers by glancing manufacturer's website. When you are going to install the Windows XP, you should be alert, and you should be very care enough to the manual guide while you are reading. Manual guide will help you to install window XP depending on your wireless equipment's manufacturer. Use the Wireless Network Setup Wizard. Although you are able to connect Windows to an existing wireless network in your device, but still you need to create the wireless network to start with the system. Once you have installed Window XP properly, you should not be worry about your whole network in your computer; it will automatically reframe in side your computer. The net work will be automatic flow on and will not demand for switched on again. Start Menu is the easiest way to open the Wireless Network Setup Wizard. And you will able to found like All Programs, Accessories, then Communications, etc in that start menu. Make sure that if you are not able to find any menu or programs, you should visit the site of Microsoft's Windows Update at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com. This site will be ultimate resource to install or run the operating system in your computer. There will be the Next option, when you will read the welcome message of wizard, then go for clicking the Next option. Then go for typing a name for your network, and make sure it will be relatively unique to you. Then you will get 32 characters to express yourself. It can be visible for your neighbors or may not be see this name at some point! You should click next on the box of equipment with WPA. You have another option like manual setup unless you have a USB flash drive. You should not be worry about that because it is a matter of printing out some settings and entering them into your other computers. It is up to you, if you don't use (equipment with WPA) encryption, then you no need to follow this step. It Still Doesn't Connect. You should be go for a right-click on the wireless icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen of your other computers, in which you will find two lines on the right of it looking like a small computer. Then you will found the menu that appears; click 'View Available Wireless Networks'. Wireless networks of your computer can be found in different range. Then give the name of your own network in your computer. This will be the same name as you had typed in the setup wizard earlier. There are some common problems which can find on your computer, while you are trying to connect to another network near you. It will not receive the signals from your computer as their wireless network has extremely in wide range. Getting on Your Network. As the window knows to your networks, then it is only for you to click 'Change the order of preferred networks' on the left of the available networks screen. Then go for click the 'Add' button, which will add the name of your network to this list, If the network is not your then click on ‘Remove’. If you want to go for Connection section, just click the properties, when you've highlighted your network. Make sure that the ‘Connect when this network is in range' is ticked. If you fail, then you have to take your printout from the Wireless Network Setup Wizard and enter that information on each computer. |
